FAQ

  • Who do you tutor?

While a majority of my students are juniors & seniors in high school, I have worked successfully with students in undergraduate & graduate programs as well as middle school and even the occasional elementary school student. Further, I have had great success bolstering females and BIPOC students in their exploration and mastery of all things STEM.

  • Where do you tutor?

Currently, I use Google Hangouts to remotely work with students all over the bay area, around the United States, and even some international students. I also help students, individually or as small groups, in person from San Francisco to Walnut Creek & from Napa Valley to San Jose. Typically the sessions are done in the comfort of the student’s home, but other arrangements such as libraries & coffee houses can be made.

  • Why do you tutor?

I absolutely enjoy seeing the engagement in a student in a one-on-one setting. Math is a wonderful language, universal to the realms of science, music, and art. It is important to me that all have an understanding of this topic. The rigor of science is important as well. Be it in the facet of physics, chemistry or biology, an understanding in any or all of these subjects makes the world a more magical place.

  • When do you tutor?

Typically weekdays anytime from noon to 10 PM, with most sessions happening earlier in the week. Weekends are possible, especially leading up to and during finals. Please check out the scheduling page for more details. If you do not see what you need, please reach out to me.

Further I enjoy teaching all levels of physics & chemistry including AP, as well as biology. For collegiate students, I am happy to support all levels of math, physics & chemistry, basic general engineering courses, as well as advanced mechanical engineering courses are within my scope.

  • How do you tutor?

Patiently, Persistently, & Politely. If one method does not seem to work, another avenue will be explored. There is a great more to this than it may seem. But over 20 years I have amassed a substantial set of tools to guide my students to mastery. Feel free to reach out and ask about more detail. I am happy to assist in the manner needed.
